UltraGuard offers a 10 year warranty to the original purchaser of any UltraGuard security doors and windows for the coating surface of your stainless steel mesh. This warranty is non-transferable.
All locks sold by UltraGuard are covered by a manufacturers 10 year warranty from the date of installation. This warranty is non-transferable.
All other accessory items fitted to the door or window such as handles, hinges, door closers, etc. are independently covered by warranties supplied by the relevant manufacturer or supplier.
In order to prolong the life of the UltraGuard products, and to maintain your rights under this warranty, you should follow the care and maintenance advice set out below.
This warranty is given in addition to any statutory warranties under the Trade Practices Act 1974, which apply to all consumer transactions. Subject to any statutory rights the owner may have which may not be modified or excluded, this warranty does not apply to any damage due to matters outside the control of UltraGuard, including owner servicing, failure of the owner to follow the care and maintenance advice set out overleaf, accident, abuse, fire, alteration of the product in any way, an act of God, failure to abide by any product warnings, or any parts or labour used to replace any parts covered under this warranty.
All claims should be made in the first instance to the original UltraGuard dealer.
The UltraGuard product should be cleaned at regular intervals as set out below in relation to the installation location. It is essential for all powder coated materials including the frame and mesh to be cleaned on a regular basis to preserve the finish over the years and to remove impurities which can readily build up on your mesh which can then lead swiftly to the commencement of any corrosions.
In particular attention should be given to the removal of possible deposits within the creases of the woven mesh. It is the product owner’s responsibility to ensure that regular maintenance as per below schedule is carried out to ensure that the pristine nature and integrity of the mesh coating is kept intact. It is also the product owner’s responsibility to ensure that the correct amount of product is used at the correct intervals to ensure non voidance of product warranty. If there is any doubt as to which environmental category the product is located in then please consult your UltraGuard installer for clarification.
Your UltraGuard distributor will supply you direct the recommended product essential for the upkeep & maintenance warranty required to maintain your lifetime warranty. Failure to comply with the use of this product & its cleaning schedule will void UltraGuard’s Warranty.
Mild – Rural areas, away from the coast and remote from industry and urban activity
Moderate – Inland urban areas more than 10km from coast and away from heavy industrial activity.
Coastal/Severe – Being coastal/marine, subject to salt deposition and within 10km of coastal areas or within a 10km radius of areas that produce heavy industrial activity.
